Old School Gaming!
Hey, so I've been thinking, most of us on here really don't have great computers. Does that mean you can't play computer games? Heck no! Just because games are old doesn't mean they aren't awesome. I'm thinking of setting up some BR classic PC gaming. I just found my old desktop, so, as long as it runs(chances are it won't, lol), I'll be able to have a server for games that require it. And with Hamachi, its easy to trick older games into thinking they're on LAN.
Games I'm thinking of so far.
Age of Empires 2 (one of my favorite games of all time)
Diablo 2 (never played, but with the diablo 3 hype, I think it'd be cool to have a BR group slaying demons together)
Rise of Nations (likely too much for some of your comps)
What do you guys think? I'd really like to do this. Also, we could record our games Dan, and use it for RHG

I think I have AoE2 somewhere, and doesn't Hamchi allow us to do this on non-bought copies as well ?
Anyways I'm down as fuck, especially since holidays start soon and I'll actually have some time to play.

Yep on the Hamachi! And really, I don't think any of us here care about pirating a few old games. Personally, if I like it I buy it anyway.
I am really hyped about this. Ok, here are a couple more suggestions?
Star War Republic Commando (very arcade/almost Halo like MP)
Stronghold Crusader Extreme (most insane castle building sim ever. You can have over 1000 unit armies. Look it up)
I'd really like to do AoE2 and D2, but if any of you guys have suggestions, I'm more then open to them.

Re: Old School Gaming!
Halo 1 multiplayer works fine on servers.
Republic Commando was fun as hell when I had it a couple years ago.
And Diablo 2. OH MY GOD that is an awesome idea. It's not hard to get a Hamachi server running for that game, I had one a year ago for me and my little brother.
I think I remember Age of empires 2. Did that game have that car cheat?

Halo 1 is one of the greatest games ever, I pretty sure there are still tons of people playing the halo 1 demo let alone the full game and CE!

Thats the original AoE. There are cheats in 2 also, but you can choose to have them on or off when you set up the game

I think I remember that Stronghold Crusaders as well. Holy shit the amount of time I've spent on some of these games, sad that I've lost most of them.
Also starting to download AoE and D2

The torrent I'm DL'ing is 1.7 GB, and it's direct play, meaning you can put it on a flash drive and play it on any PC.

I doubt anything would happen, but I don't know if we should post torrent/pirate links. I'll PM it to you

Also would anyone be up for Arma? The first one? It has low specs needed and could be great tactical fun!!!

Re: Old School Gaming!
I think I'll pass on Arma. I've had enough of tactical/military shooters for a while.
Also, is anyone ready for some D2 MP? I'm playing, and its REALLY showing its age, but it should be great with a couple of us.

Unreal Tournament 2004.
It's GODLIKE.
And I could run it at high on my fucking shitty-ass P4 3.5GHz Single Core with a 128MB Geforce FX5200 desktop, so integrated graphics could even top that XD
